It is said that our parents are our first teachers having raised us patiently from childhood to adulthood. They have been our source of comfort, support and inspiration. Richard and Maya are truly blessed with such wonderful parents and I’m quite sure when it comes to knowing what marriage is all about, they always have a word or two to share to their children. We would like to call on the Mother of the Bride, Mrs. Teresita dela Rosa to say a few words of wisdom and Best Wished to our newlyweds

Mga anak, lagi ninyo tatandaan na importante sa bawat relasyon lalo na sa mga mag-asawa ang pag-uusap. Huag palalalain ang isang bagay na hindi pinag-uusapan mabuti. Huag pairalin ang pride tulad nangyari noon Pasko. Kung sino may kasalanan, mag sorry. Huag matutulog na hindi nagkaka-ayos. Kapit-bisig mga anak lagi, mahal ko kayo. Hindi ko lang alam kung ano iyon. All I know eh you smile so often then. Hindi ko alam na si Maya pala ang may dahilan ng mga iyon. Maya, my new bestfriend, thank you for everything you did to you Chard and kids. You are truly one in a million amazing woman I ever met. I still remember the first time I saw you, akala mo isa ako threat sa yo. Noon una hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit but as days goes by, I know the reason why. But you never show me any bad attitude, naging mabait ka pa rin sa akin. Deep inside that moment sabi ko sana ma realize ni Chard na kaw iyon tamang babae puede niya ipalt kay Alex. And I’m glad he did see it. Dahil kung hindi ako ang magmumulat sa mga mata niyang singkit. Hahaha. Isa ka rin sa malaking factor sa amin ni Charlie. Retrieval of the Garter
Before we go on with the Garter Toss, the groom is to retrieve the garter from his bride. So may we request Richard and Maya to please come center stage and do the garter retrieval ritual.

(A chair is brought onstage for the bride to sit. while groom kneels down at the bride’s feet ready to retrieve the garter)

We need our audience here to cheer on our groom as he takes off his wife’s garter. But RICHARD, I need to give you a few words of advice before you proceed….(cue music Your Sexy Thing by Hot Chocolate). You are going into the land of unknown….the forbidden territory…the final frontier….be kind and gentle because if you are not. She will let you knew for the rest of your married life…

Garter Toss (cue music Kiss by Prince)

May we call all the bachelors present tonight to come forwards.

Gentlemen please take you place behind the groom and be ready to catch the garter. So is everyone ready? At the count of three the groom will throw the garter and again we request the audience to participate in the countdown.
