After their return to the Philippines, Richard immediately phoned his parents and requested them to have a visit. Unfortunately, they cannot make it until after 3 weeks’ time as his father still needs to make the necessary arrangements with his businesses but promised Richard 2 months vacation.

Left with no other choice, Richard agreed with them. What’s important is that they’re going home and he’ll be able to introduce Maya to them personally. The idea gives him a fair amount of excitement. He can no longer wait for them to finally meet the woman who brought back his life. The woman whom he truly loves and wants to share his forever with.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Maya was seated on the sofa in the living room of their condo unit together with Emman. She just got off the phone with Richard, the latter busy with his office works.

“O roomie. Di ba malapit na kayong mag 1 month ni Richard? Ano namang plano niyong dalawa? Pano niyo naman balak i-celebrate ang monthsary niyo?” asked Emman.

“Umm. Hindi ko alam eh. Hindi pa nga namin napag-uusapan yan.”

“Ha? Eh di ba sa makalawa na yun? Bakit hindi niyo pa napag-uusapan?”

“Eh, pareho kaming naging busy eh,” answered Maya. “Paano ba dapat i-celebrate yun?” she asked.

Emman thought for a moment. “Ikaw, ano bang gusto mo? Depende kasi yun kung anong gusto niyo at kung saan kayo magiging masaya. Siyempre dapat yung mag-eenjoy kayo pareho.”

Maya gave it a thought. She tried to think of things that she and Richard shared together and that they truly enjoyed doing together. A lot of things flashed back on her mind. The times when they’ll simply go to parks, go to movie houses, their vacation in San Nicholas, and the rendezvous that they had in Paris. Each brought back happy memories that made her smile at the recollection.

“Ngi-ngiti ngiti na naman ang roomie ko!” teased Emman.

Maya chuckled at Emman’s observation. “May mga naalala lang kasi ako.”

“Mukha naman nga,” answered Emman, giving Maya a knowing look. “May naisip ka na ba kung pano kayo mag-ce-celebrate?”

“Umm. Ang gusto ko sana simpleng celebration lang. Siguro manood lang ng movie then dinner. Ganun,” explained Maya.

“Ok fine. Wala na akong nasabi pa,” conceded Emman. “Pero in fairness jan sa boyfriend mo ha, super bongga at super sweet! Sinong mag-aakalang ang isang Richard Lim ay oh so sweet & romantic! Alam mo roomie, kung ako ang may boyfriend na gaya niya, malamang eh magrequest ako ng mediterranian  cruise sa monthsary namin para bongga di ba!”

“Ikaw talaga Emman! Puro ka kalokohan!” chuckled Maya.

That evening, Richard visited Maya at the latter’s condo to spend some time with her.  “So how’s my angel?” he asked as he greeted Maya with a kiss on her cheek.

“Ok naman. Pahinga lang ako dito sa condo with Emman maghapon. Ikaw kumusta ang office?”

“It’s a bit tiring and stressful. Medyo madaming tinapos, but everything went out smoothly.”

Maya seeing the tiredness on Richard’s face, went near him and touched his face. “Mukhang pagod na pagod ang honey ko ah. Mabuti pa kumain na tayo at ng makapagpahinga ka narin.”

The two went to the dining table and had their dinner. After dinner, Maya prepared two cups of coffee and followed Richard to the living room, seating on the sofa apparently massaging his temple.

“Sumasakit ba ang ulo mo?” asked Maya. Richard simply answered with a nod. “Gusto mo masahihin ko?” she offered. She then sat down on the opposite end of the sofa and motioned Richard to lie down and rest his head on her lap. She then removed his eyeglasses and started massaging his head.

“Ok lang ba?”

“Yes, it’s good. Thanks my angel.” He then took one of Maya’s hand and planted a kiss on it. Richard automatically closed his eyes as he savor the feel of Maya’s massage.

“Umm. Honey? Do you have any plans, the day after tomorrow?” asked Maya.

“The day after tomorrow? Wala naman. Why?”

“Wala naman. Gusto ko lang malaman kung may lakad ka or any apparent plans for that day.” Maya wanted to check if Richard has been planning something up his sleeves. Knowing Richard, she knows he’s already planning a surprise for her.

Richard does already have plans for their monthsary but keeps mum about the whole thing. He wanted to surprise her and decided to act as if he totally forgot about their monthsary. “Why? May lakad ka ba? You want to go somewhere?”

“Wala naman akong lakad non pero meron akong flight on that day.”

Caught by surprise, “Huh? Sabi mo sa akin last time wala kang flight non?”

Maya decided to tease him some more. “Eh oo nga. Pero naisip ko hindi ko naman talaga need ng 3 days vacation kaya naisip kong mag-accept nalang ng flight schedules. Wala rin namang okasyon para mag-leave ako. Saka nalang siguro pag may special occasion.”

Richard immediately sat up and looked at Maya, sadness, irritation, and frustration filled him.

“What?” asked innocently by Maya. Richard simply looked at her and didn’t answer. Maya continued to feign a confused look. “Ano? Sumasakit parin ba ang ulo mo? Hindi pa naman kasi ako tapos sa masahe eh. Higa ka na ulit at ng mamasahe pa kita,” said Maya but Richard remained unmoved.

“Are you sure walang special occasion on that day?” he finally asked.

Maya tried to think. “Hindi ko naman birthday. Hindi mo rin naman birthday. Wala namang may birthday sa pamilya namin. Hindi rin naman sila Emman, James o Rafi. Hindi pa naman uuwi ang parents mo nun. Hindi naman national holiday nun.” Maya shrugged her shoulders.

“Angel!” said Richard in an impatient tone.

“What?”

Heaving out a sigh, “I think I better leave. Gabi narin naman na. Gusto ko naring magpahinga.” Richard then stood up to leave but Maya caught his hand and he saw her grin at him. Richard simply raised a brow at her.

Maya simply laughed. “Ang cute mo talaga mapikon honey!”

Expelling a sigh, “Hindi ako pikon ok? Kung wala kang naaalalang okasyon on that day, fine. If you want to take a flight, go ahead.”

Maya stood up and faced him. Holding his face, “Hindi ka pikon?” Richard simply shook his head. “Hindi ka galit?” He shook his head once again. “Hindi ka naiinis?” He shook his head once more. “Wala naman talagang okasyon sa makalawa di ba?” grinned Maya.

“You really forgot about it?? You totally forgot about it??” exclaimed Richard out of frustration.

Maya laughed once again. “At ngayon tatawanan mo pa ako? You’re really impossible!” he sighed.

Richard was about to turn around and leave when Maya stopped him once more. She moved closer to him and hugged him tight. “Ang sarap mo talagang asarin honey ko,” grinned Maya. Richard simply looked down at her.

“Ok. I was just teasing you. Alam ko naman na may special occasion sa makalawa. Di ba birthday ni Manang Fe non?”

“Angel!!” exclaimed Richard in disbelief which only earned a hearty laugh from Maya.

“Ok, ok. Seryoso na. You really think makakalimutan ko ang special day na yun? A very special kaya yun para sa ating dalawa,” smiled Maya. Richard raised his brow, insisting Maya to prove her point. “Honey, alam kong monthsary natin sa makalawa. Hindi ko nakakalimutan. Pinag-uusapan pa nga naming ni Emman kanina ang tungkol dun eh,” chuckled Maya.

Richard let out a sigh of relief, finally allowing himself to hug Maya back. “So you really are just teasing me?” Shaking his head in disbelief, “You’re so silly my angel.”

“Ang sarap mo kasing asarin eh!” replied Maya.

“Ah ganon? Masarap pala akong asarin ha!” Without warning, he started to tickle Maya. Maya tried to run away from him and they end up running around the living room. When Richard finally caught up with her, he didn’t stop from tickling her some more until they end up falling on the sofa, Maya having a hard time breathing.

“Honey! Tama na! Ok na. Sorry na!” said Maya in between laughs.

“No! You need to learn your lesson!” grinned Richard, tickling Maya some more.

“Hindi na! Hindi na ako uulit! Tama na!” pleaded Maya as she continued to laugh. Richard finally stopped and simply collected her in his arms, waited til their breathing normalized.

“You almost spoiled my plans, you know that?” he said.

“Sabi mo wala ka namang plano sa araw na yun?”

“I only said that because I wanted to surprise you. But it turned out, ako pala ang isu-surprise mo,” said Richard as he shake his head.

You’ve already done so much for me. Sobra sobra na ang efforts and not to mention ang dami at laki ng expenses.”

“Angel, I don’t care about the expenses, the efforts, energy or the amount of surprises that I plan to give you. As I’ve always said, you deserve nothing but the best and that’s what I plan to give. If I could give you the world, the stars, and the moon, I would. That’s just how special you are my angel.”

“Eh honey, I appreciate all the efforts. Lahat ng binibigay mo sa akin, sobra kong ipinagpapasalamat ang mga yun. Sobra kong ikinakatuwa ang mga yun. Hindi mo lang alam. Pero honey, can we just have a simple celebration? Watch a movie and have dinner. Ok na sa akin yun.”

“Angel, you don’t have to worry about it. Besides, I’ve already made arrangements for our monthsary.“

“Honey, baka gumastos ka na naman ng sobra. Yun nga lang na sinundan mo ako last time sa Paris, sobra-sobra na ang ginawa mo sa akin nun. Alam ko malaki ang nagastos mo dun. Please honey. I don’t need anything grand. Can we keep this celebration simple? What’s important is tayong dalawa. Kahit ba dito o dun lang tayo sa bahay niyo mag-celebrate, ok na sa akin yun. Basta ang importante, magkasama tayo,” smiled Maya.

How can he not love this woman more? Her simplicity, thoughtfulness, and the fact that she doesn’t really care about the material things that he can shower her with. The assurance that she always give him that his mere presence is already enough for her, that everything he has doesn’t really matter to her. Just him and his love for her are already enough.

Richard hugged him tighter. “I love you angel ko,” he said.

“Oy honey! Wag mong ibahin ang usapan. Mangako ka muna. We’ll keep our celebration simple.”

Richard chuckled. “Umm. I’ll think about it.”

Pouting her lips, “Honey naman eh!” said Maya irritatingly.

Richard simply laughed at her reaction. “Ok, ok. Anything for you my angel. Ikaw ang masusunod. Basta promise that you’ll be free for 3 days, ok?”

“Huh? Teka honey, simple celebration lang ha. Bakit kailangan 3 days?” asked Maya, bewildered by his request.

“Basta. Trust me ok. We’ll simply have a simple celebration but you have to promise me that you’ll give me 3 days’ worth of time.”

“Sure kang simple celebration lang yang binabalak mo ha?”

“Positive!” answered Richard.

“Ok sige. Anything that I need to prepare?”

“Hmm. 3 days’ worth of clothes. That’s all.”

“Ok. Hindi mo talaga sasabihin kung ano saan tayo magce-celebrate?”

Richard simply laughed. “It will no longer be a surprise if I spilled the beans wouldn’t it?” said Richard then planted a kiss on her head.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

It was already Richard’s and Maya’s first monthsary. By 5am, he was already at Maya’s doorsteps. Maya opened the door for him and she was greeted by a grinning Richard with a bouquet of sunflowers at hand. “Happy first monthsary my angel!” Handing out the flowers to Maya and gave her a kiss on the lips.

“Happy monthsary honey ko!” greeted Maya back and gave Richard a tight hug.

“Let’s go?”

“Tara. Saan ba talaga tayo pupunta honey?”

“You’ll find out soon enough.”

The two walked out of the condo unit and proceed to Richard’s car. An hour had passed and they were still on the road. Richard saw Maya yawn.

“Angel, gusto mo idlip ka na muna. I’ll just wake you up once we’ve reached our destination.”

“Eh hindi ka ba aantukin o mainip sa pag drive?”

“Don’t worry about me. I’m fine. Just have your sleep and I’ll just wake you up.”

With that, Maya simply smiled, adjusted her seat and allowed herself to doze off.

A couple of hours later, they had finally reached their destination. Maya slept the whole time. “Mukhang napuyat ang angel ko ah,” thought Richard as he looked at her. Gently, he tried to wake her up. “Angel, wake up. We’re here.”

Maya slowly opened her eyes and tried to adjust to the sunlight coming through the windshield. “Nasaan na ba tayo? Anong lugar na ba ito?” she asked.

“We’re in Baguio,” grinned Richard.

“Baguio?” repeated Maya in a half-sleep state.

“Yup! Baguio,” confirmed Richard.

“Ok,” replied Maya absent mindedly. As soon as realization fully sank in, “Baguio?? Bakit tayo nasa Baguio??” asked Maya in total shock.

Richard couldn’t help but laugh seeing Maya’s epic reaction. “Well, for a start this is my surprise for you. We’ll celebrate our monthsary here. You like it?”

Trying to look irritated, “Honey naman eh! Di ba nag-promise ka na simple lang ang celebration natin? Eh bakit ngayon bigla tayong andito sa Baguio??”

“Bakit? Di ba sabi mo sa akin kahit sa bahay lang tayo mag-celebrate as long as tayong dalawa ang magkasama?”

“Oo nga! Sabi ko nga kahit sa condo ni Emman o sa bahay mo! Eh bakit ngayon dumayo pa tayo ditto sa Baguio?”

“Para dito tayo sa bahay ko mag-celebrate,” said Richard, gesturing at the big cabin house in front of them.

“Bahay mo yan?” she asked.

“Yup! It’s my rest house here in Baguio. Sabi mo kasi kahit sa bahay lang tayo mag-celebrate, so here. Dito tayo sa bahay magce-celebrate,” grinned Richard.

Shaking her head in disbelief, “Honey, when I said sa bahay, I mean yung bahay sa Manila not out of town! Ikaw pinipilosopo mo ako!”

Richard simply laughed at her. “Sige na. Come on, let’s get inside na.” He then assisted Maya alight the car, got both of their luggage and went inside the house.

As Maya stepped inside the house, she immediately noticed the log style furnishings. As she walked around, she saw a huge great room with a fireplace.

“Come, let me show you around,” suggested Richard.

The cabin had 12 bedrooms, 6 located on the main level and 6 on the lower level. The lower level contains the gameroom, 3 spacious bedrooms: 2 with queen Log beds, 1 with 2 full log beds, the 4th bedroom has 2 bunkbeds.

The main level contains the master bedroom and master bath with a jacuzzi for 2, both with vaulted ceilings. Also located on this second floor is a spacious great room with cathedral ceilings, rock fireplace with a wall mounted 42″ LCD TV, open dining room, fully equipped kitchen, laundry room, a half bathroom and foyer are all located on this floor with the main entrance.

The upper level contains a spacious loft which you enter after ascending the impressive heavy-timber staircase. The loft has 2 queen sleeper sofas where you can relax and take in some of the views of the valley as you look across the great room and out of the large windows. There is an additional bedroom with 2 queen log beds and a full bath on this third floor. All bedrooms except the bunkbed room have a queen log bed, log furniture and a TV with a DVD player.

A large jenair gas grill is located on the covered porch as are the Log rocking chairs. The adjoining open deck is where you will find the deluxe 6 person hot tub with waterfall and a Log picnic table. In the yard is the Log swing for 2, the fire pit and 2 park benches for 2.

Maya couldn’t help but be in awe of the architectural design of the house. “You liked it?” asked Richard.

“Ang ganda! Para tuloy feeling ko wala ako sa Pilipinas,” commented Maya.

“I designed the house myself,” said Richard proudly.

“Talaga? Ang ganda ganda niya at napaka laki. Bakit nga pala ganito kalaking bahay ang naisipan mong ipagawa?” she asked.

“Of course. I wouldn’t be forever alone. I know I’ll have a family of my own, kids of my own. I’ve already prepared for those. Kaya once we’re married, kahit ilang kids pa ang magkaroon tayo, hindi magiging problema. I’ve already prepared for all possibilities.”

Maya blushed at the thought and suddenly felt uncomfortable with the topic at hand. Trying to shift their conversation away from the topic, “Ah honey, hindi pa ba tayo kakain? Nagugutom na kasi ako eh. Tignan mo o? 12 o’ clock narin.”

“Ok, sige. I’ll just bring our luggage to our rooms then let’s just go out to eat. Sa may session road nalang siguro tayo mag-lunch. Would that be fine?” he asked. Maya simply nodded in agreement.

Richard and Maya had their lunch at Pizza Volante. Shortly after lunch, they started strolling around the frequently visited spots in Baguio. They first went to The Mansion, went right across to Wright Park, and went to Mines View Park.

It was already 6pm and they’re still out. “Honey, mabuti pa siguro punta muna tayo sa supermarket. Bili tayo ng food natin then magluto nalang tayo sa bahay,” suggested Maya.

“I think that’s a good idea. Or siguro, let’s just have dinner in one of the restaurants here and bukas nalang tayo mag-luto sa bahay. Kung ngayon pa tayo bibili ng pang dinner then ip-prepare pa, masyado ng late tayo matatapos, what do you think?”

“Ok sige. So bili nalang tayo ng pang-kain natin tomorrow,” agreed Maya.

They then went to the supermarket to do some groceries and shortly after went to Café by the Ruins to have their dinner.

“Are you enjoying everything so far?” asked Richard.

“Yes! Alam mo namang first time ko palang dito di ba? Ang ganda naman pala talaga dito.”

“That’s the reason why I brought you here, I know this is your first time here in Baguio. And as promised, simple lang.”

“Simple ba ito? We have to travel all the way up north para lang mag-celebrate ng monthsary natin and you call that simple?”

Richard reached out a hand to Maya, “Angel, just let me do these things for you ok?”

“Eh kasi sobra sobra na ang mga ginagawa mo para sa akin. Ayoko namang magmukhang inaabuso kita or nagt-take advantage ako sa iyo.”

“Shhh. Don’t say that my angel. You’re not taking advantage of me. Besides, I love doing all of these for you,” said Richard as he gazed lovingly at her.

As they finished dinner, “By the way my angel, I have something for you.” Richard reached out to his pocket and took a small blue velvet box. “Here. Happy first monthsary my angel.”

Maya stared at the box, hesitant to accept it. “Ano ito? Honey naman eh!”

“Angel, it’s our monthsary. I wanted to give something special to you. Sige na. Open it.”

Maya hesitantly reached out for the box and opened it. She couldn’t help but gasp as she saw an elegant pair of diamond earrings inside. “Ang ganda naman nito honey! Pero sabi ko –” Richard cut her off.

“I know what you’re going to say. But please my angel, since this is our monthsary, could you just let this pass? A simple thank you would do,” smiled Richard.

Smiling back, “Thank you,” she said.

“You liked it?” asked Richard.

Maya already teary-eyed, “Sobra!” She then got up from her chair and gave Richard a hug. “Thank you so much honey ko!”

“Anything for you my angel.”

As they were about to leave the restaurant, a woman suddenly walked towards Richard “Richard! Sweetie!” she said as she suddenly wrapped her arms around him and suddenly kissed him on the lips out of the blue, catching Richard off-guard. “Fancy meeting you here! Ikaw ha, hindi ka na tumawag pa sa akin,” she further said as her fingers started to caress his chest, openly flirting with him.

Maya cleared her throat bringing Richard back to his senses. He then immediately tried to get away from the woman’s hold.

“Stephanie, nice to see you here. By the way, I’d like you –“ Richard was about to introduce Maya to her but he was cut off by Stephanie, once again moving closer to Richard and flirting with him some more.

“Sweetie ikaw ha. If I didn’t happen to bump into you here in Baguio, hindi pa tayo magkikita at magkaka-usap. Pinag-tataguan mo ba ako sweetie?” said Stephanie as she plays with the collar of Richard’s polo shirt.

Richard caught her hands and tried to move away from her then he went beside Maya, placed an arm over her shoulders and pulled her closer to him. “Stephanie, this is my girlfriend, Maya. Maya, this is Stephanie, a family friend,” introduced Richard.

Maya forced a smile while Stephanie on the other hand, looked at her from head to toe with a look of disgust on her face. “I see. So you’re busy playing around my sweetie. Oh well, sige lang. Just enjoy yourself. I’ll see you around my sweetie,” said Stephanie, winking at Richard before turning around.

Maya immediately turned around and went to the car, leaving Richard trailing behind her. As Maya got inside the car, she crossed her arms in front of her and looked outside the window, anger and jealousy consuming her whole being.

Richard sensed Maya’s fiery anger. He wanted to speak to her but decided against it. As a result, the drive back to the house was filled not only with deafening silence but with skyrocketing tension as well. As soon as they reached the house, Maya did not waste any second and immediately went out of the car and stormed inside the house, leaving Richard behind. Richard immediately followed her inside and finally caught up with her on the main level of the house.

“Angel,” said Richard in a soft velvety tone as he held Maya’s arms.

“Gabi na Richard. Gusto ko ng magpahinga at matulog,” replied Maya, her back still against him.

Richard then moved closer to her and wrapped his arms around her. “Angel, please. Can we talk first?” pleaded Richard.

Maya heaved out a sigh, turned around and walked towards the sofa and sat herself down, still not looking at Richard. Richard immediately followed and sat beside her.

“Angel,” said Richard and reached out for the hand of Maya but the latter immediately withdrew her hand. “Angel. Sorry. I never meant for any of this to happen. Hindi ko naman alam na andito din si Stephanie sa Baguio.” Maya instantly gave him a look that sends a thousand daggers. “Angel..”

“Eh sino ba kasi talaga yung Stephanie nay un? At bakit sweetie ang tawag niya sayo? At ibang klase kung makapang-akit ha! Kung hindi lang ako nakapagtimpi kanina may kalalagyan talaga ang malanding yun!” said Maya angrily. Richard tried to suppress his life but to no avail making Maya even more furious. “At tatawa tawa ka pa jan??” snapped Maya. She was already about to leave when Richard stopped her.

“Sorry. Sorry for laughing at you. I’m just amused.”

“And you find all these amusing??” said Maya irritatingly.

“Hindi naman sa ganun. Ok hear me out first, alright. As I’ve mentioned kanina, Stephanie is a family friend. My parents and her parents are good friends. My parents are her godparents as well.” Explained Richard.

“And why is she calling you sweetie?”

Richard shrugged his shoulders. “I don’t know.” Maya simply gave him a knowing look. “Ok. We went on a date once, much to the insistence of mama. But that was only once. Hindi na naulit pa ang date na yun. I simply cannot stand being with her.”

“So gusto siya ng mama mo for you?”

Letting out a sigh, “Before Alex and I had met, my parents have been insinuating that I take interest in Stephanie, being a pure blooded Chinese and her family being profitable for my dad’s business. I never really gave it a thought until I met Alex. I fell in love with her. I admit, my parents were against it at first but they later on learned to accept the whole thing.”

“Pero ipina-date siya ng mama mo sa’yo? Baka naman siya talaga ang gusto ng parents mo para sa’yo,” said Maya.

Richard reached out for her hands, holding them tight. “Angel, mama might have pushed me to date Stephanie before but that was when I have been having a hard time moving on after Alex’s death. I knew she’s just desperate to help me out of my misery,” smiling warmly at her, “would you believe that Stephanie’s not the only girl whom she set me up for a date? She’s even gone far and asked Rafi’s help for that matter.”

As a realization dawned on her, “So you mean to say –“

“Yes my angel. When Rafi set us up on a blind date, in a way that was my mama’s idea. She asked Rafi’s help to find me date. She’s really just desperate and is willing to do anything just to help me move on. She doesn’t have any personal preference whatsoever. All she wanted was for me to fall in love again and move on with my life.”

“So ok lang sa kanya kahit hindi si Stephanie ang girlfriend mo?” she asked.

“Angel, I’m pretty sure she wouldn’t mind. She knows fairly well that I can never fall in love with someone like Stephanie. And if she does mind, I still wouldn’t give a damn.” Cupping her face and gazing intently in her eyes, “Ikaw ang mahal ko angel. Ikaw lang ang mahal ko at wala ng iba pa. The only important thing is what we have, what we feel for each other. Nothing more, nothing less.”

“So wala talaga kayong nagging relasyon ng Stephanie na yun?”

“Wala my angel. She’s just a family friend. Nothing more,” chuckled Richard.

“Hindi ka nagkagusto sa kanya? In fairness sexy siya ha.”

Laughing at her response, “Angel, sexy man siya, it doesn’t change the fact that I can never fall for her. I only have my eyes, my heart, and my whole being for you.” Maya simply smiled back in return. “So does this mean hindi ka na galit?”

Maya pouted her lips and said, “pag-iisipan ko.”

“Angel, wag ka ng magalit o. Sige na. We’re supposed to be celebrating our monthsary happily. Not like this.”

“Kasalanan ko ba?” she asked.

“No of course not! I intend this day to be perfect. I wanted this day to be perfect. Please my angel, wag ka ng magalit,” pleaded Richard but Maya tried to remain unaffected. Richard moved closer to her, held her face and held her gaze.

“I love you so much my angel. Wag ka ng magalit please?”

“Pag-iisipan ko,” teased Maya. Richard leaned forward and planted a kiss on her forehead. “Kiss na pang lola,” said Maya. Richard smiled at her and gave her a kiss on her cheek. Maya simply raised a brow in return. Finally, Richard planted a kiss on her lips, a quick soft kiss.

Heaving out a sigh, “Sige na honey. Gabi na. Mabuti pa matulog at magpahinga na tayo,” smiled Maya. She stood up and was already about to leave when Richard stopped her. Standing behind her, Richard turned her around and pulled her closer to him. Gazing at her eyes, “I love you so much my angel,” and as his gaze fell on her lips, he once again found his lips on hers.

This time, he dared kiss her like he never had done before. The soft gentle kiss turned to a firm passionate one. He ran his tongue across her lips, tasting her lightly, stroking until she opened for him. He pulled her closer to him and deepened the kiss. He changed the pressure, delved deeper, and stroked more firmly.

Feeling the need for support, Maya out of instinct placed her arms around his neck providing him more access to her mouth, exploring more deeply. Maya met with his tongue. Every stroke, every plunge, the same force and intensity, she returned so eagerly. Their tongues played a dance that they had never tried before, spreading a different kind of sensation to the both of them. A wickedly beautiful and treacherously good sensation, full of passion and intensity setting both of their bodies aflame.

Their mouth and tongue continued to dance a dangerous dance until a moan escaped from each of them. As if brought back to his senses, rationality immediately kicked in as the alarms of the dangers ahead suddenly rang on his head. Gathering all willpower and strength, he gently broke off the kiss. Both gasping for air, they leaned their foreheads against each other.

“This can wait. I promised to take things slow and take things properly. There’s a right time for this,” he thought. He once again pulled her closer for a tight hug. “I promised to take things slow and properly with you my angel. These things can wait. I cannot and will never afford anything that would cost the trust you gave me.”

As the realization of his words sank in, Maya felt her cheeks go aflame. She simply buried her face deeper onto his chest as embarrassment washed over her. Richard simply let out a chuckle at her sudden discomfort.

“I love you so much my angel.”

“I love you so much honey ko.”

“I think we better retire to our rooms and have our sleep,” suggested Richard. He then walked Maya to her room and bid her good night. As soon as she closed the door, he then turned his heel and proceed to his own room to sleep.
